Which airport do you suggest flying into?

Though there are several airports located within the Bay Area, we recommend that you fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO), as it provides you with the most ground transportation options for getting to the seminary. Please note that while flying into Oakland International Airport (OAK) or San Jose International Airport (SJC) may seem cheaper, sometimes you will spend as much if not more on ground transportation getting to and from GGBTS than you would have by simply flying into SFO and taking the Marin Airporter to campus. OAK & SJC are also further from the seminary.

Do I need to rent a car?

If you are planning on being in the area for an extended period of time, doing any sightseeing while you’re in town, will be arriving after the last run of the Marin Airporter, or are flying into Oakland International Airport (OAK) or San Jose International Airport (SJC) we strongly encourage you to consider renting a car.

Where do I go once I’m on campus?

If you arrive during business hours (Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30), please come by the Admissions & Recruitment Office (Administration Building, Room 106). We would be happy to meet you and help you find your way.

How do I pick up my guest housing key during or outside business hours? (Monday – Friday 8:30 – 4:30)

Key Pick Up/Check In:

Your key/packet and the guest housing check-in time is available any time after 4PM the day of your arrival.  

To pick up your key please go to the following location:

  1. If you are staying in Gill Hall or Bagby Hall - the 'key safe' is located on the street corner of Hodges and Shuck at the 'bus stop'.
  2. If you are staying in Truett Hall or Mallory Hall - the 'key safe' is located in the breeze way of Truett - the men's dorm.

*VERY IMPORTANT* You must have a code to access your guest housing key.   The code is found on your housing confirmation letter.  Bring a copy of your housing confirmation letter and a campus map is important.  Bring these two items. They will be helpful in finding the locations of the 'key safe' as well as the building and room for your guest housing once you have arrived on campus.

If you have any trouble retreiving your key, there is a phone number listed on your housing confirmation letter.  Someone will call you back and arrange to meet you at the location of the 'key safe'.
