Specifically designed for married couples without children, Tichenor Village is a three building, 24-unit complex of economical, unrenovated one-bedroom apartments located about a 12-minute walk from class.

Tichenor Village is named in honor of Isaac Taylor Tichenor, corresponding secretary of the Southern Baptist Home Mission Board from 1882-1899. Each building in Tichenor Village is also named after Home Mission Board leaders: Gray Hall after B.D. Gray, corresponding secretary from 1903-1928; Redford Hall after Courts Redford, long-time executive secretary of the Board; and Lawrence Hall after J.B. Lawrence, treasurer of the board from 1929-1953.

Specifically designed for married couples without children, Carey, Mahon, and Wallace Halls combined offer a total of 19 economical, renovated one-bedroom apartments located approximately a 12-minute walk from class.

Carey Hall was named for William Carey, the first Baptist missionary of modern times. Mahon Hall was named in honor of Elizabeth Wicker Mahon, a donor whose husband, G. Heyward Mahon, was a member of the Board of Trustees for Golden Gate in 1950. Wallace Hall was named in honor of Dr. William Wallace, a Southern Baptist medical missionary who was martyred for his faith.
