Jim brings more than 25 years of pastoral ministry experience into his position at the Seminary. He has a passion for frontline ministry in the local church and has spent the majority of his ministry working in churches in the West.
He is a conference speaker and an award-winning writer with hundreds of pieces in print in over 60 publications. His recent book titles include: Soul Shaping, the 2010 Southern Baptist Doctrinal Study, 1000 Fresh Illustrations (WORDsearch Bible, 2005), How to Write Narrative Sermons; and Future Church: Ministry in a Post-Seeker Age, (Broadman & Holman, 2004).
